Offer Hope, Restore Dignity, & Transform Lives

2017 Stand Down for Veterans In Fort Wayne

Join us on the front lawn of the Richard Lugar Safe Haven on October 20 for a Stand Down event in our mission of “Offering Help for Homeless Veterans”. In military terminology, a stand down is typically a time of rest after a time of high alert, so the aim of this event is to provide relief to many of our homeless Veterans in the area. This event will also provide assistance for local Veterans who are at risk of becoming homeless.

  • When: Friday, October 20, 2017, 10 am - 2 pm
  • Where: The Richard Lugar Safe Haven, 2424 Fairfield Avenue, Fort Wayne, IN.

Many local companies and organizations will have booths here to help Veterans make connections with relevant services they stand in need of. It is our hope that these organizations will learn how to better serve our Veterans that have so diligently served our great country.

Educational information, Veteran Administration providers, housing assistance, counseling services, legal assistance, clothing, supplies, as well as a free meal for all Veterans that attend (courtesy of Texas Roadhouse) will be provided.
