Volunteers of America Case Manager Delivers Keynote Address

Stephanie Jerstad is a case manager of Supportive Services for Veteran Families with Volunteers of America in Evansville where she provides supportive services to low-income veterans and their families who are homeless or at imminent risk of losing their housing.

Jerstad earned two criminal justice degrees from Harrison College in 2012 and 2014 and is now pursuing a master's degree in criminal justice at the University of Cincinnati.

Jerstad will share her experiences and encourage the graduating class to use their education to give back to others.

"I have had the opportunity to build on my Harrison degrees to launch a career that allows me to help some of our bravest men and women get back on their feet," said Jerstad. "I am excited to share how my education opened new doors for me because I know these graduates will soon have similar opportunities to use their degrees to do impactful work."
